Labelling of Possessions

Label clearly all items your child will bring to school with their Full Name. We have a ‘Lost Property Box’ so if anything is lost, check this first. Articles that are not named are disposed of on the last day of each term.

Transition from Kindergarten to School

Each year the kinder teachers make a special visit to see how well all the preps have settled into school life. All prep students are also buddied up with a grade 5 or 6 student as part of the welfare & transition to school program.

Prep Transition Program

We recognise that choosing the right school for your child is an important decision for families. We also recognise the importance of the kinder year and therefore have staggered our Transition Program to school over terms 3 & 4, giving families and children the optimal time to enjoy the kinder year.

Transition Program

It would be terrific if you could assist your pre-schooler to participate in our school transition program as it is well researched that participation in these activities help to make the transition to school easier for your child.

During these sessions parents are encouraged to bring their child to our prep room and once they have settled, leave the room, just like you do at kinder so children can fully experience what it feels like to be at school.

We have organised 4 transition sessions.

Friday 28th October 9.00-11.00
Please send along a snack so children can practise having playlunch at school, pack a hat for outside and a drink bottle is encouraged.

Friday 4th November 9.00-11.00
Please send along a snack so children can practise having playlunch at school, pack a hat for outside and a drink bottle is encouraged.

Friday 11th November 9.00-1.00

Friday 18th November 9.00-3.15

On all occasions we require parents to walk children to the prep room at the start of the session and collect children from the room at the end of the session.

  • Children can wear school uniform if they have it although this is optional.
  • Children are encouraged to bring along their school bag with their snacks inside.

The school would be happy to accommodate alternative visits by individual parents/ children if required.
